Delta Celebrates Earth Day

Delta is celebrating Earth Day by contributing to the communities it serves. Delta employees build homes, plant trees and demonstrate what can be accomplished by working together. Each month the Delta in-flight team recycles an average of 1 million individual cans. Delta's recycling efforts have funded the building of Habitat for Humanity homes in Atlanta and Cincinnatti. This year, Delta employees and customers will build Habitat for Humanity homes in Haiti.

During the past 10 years, Delta's environment efforts have been industry-leading. The U.S. Green Building Council awarded Delta the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification for the Delta terminal at Boston's Logan International Airport. Delta is the world's first airline to earn such green building certification. Soon, Web-enabled mobile devices will become bording passes for Delta flights. Check-in for nonstop domestic travel departing from select cities at mobile.delta.com. Try it out on your next flight departing from one the participating airports.
