The Los Angeles Beaches consist of Pacific oceanfront beaches in Los Angeles County. They include the cities of Santa Monica, Venice, Marina del Rey, Long Beach, Malibu, El Segundo, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach.
In addition to beaches on the Pacific Ocean, this area is also characterized by pedestrian promenades, excellent shopping and dining, handball courts, paddle tennis courts. Attractions include the Santa Monica Pier, Ocean Front Walk, Venice Fishing Pier, Venice Beakwater, Fisherman's Village in Marina del Rey and The Queen Mary.
