Hoover Alabama, a quintessential American resort town near Birmingham, is the location of Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. Ross Bridge Resort accommodates two golf clubs on the trail, the Ross Bridge Club in Hoover, and the Oxmoor Valley Club in Birmingham. Hoover is also a golfer's dining hot spot.
Wynfrey Hotel is attached to the Riverchase Galleria, one of the largest shopping centers in the Southeast. This mall features over 200 shops and 20 restaurants as well as office space. The Wynfrey is also two blocks from Rave Theaters and three miles from Metropolitan Stadium, home of the SEC Baseball Tournament.
Hoover is also the home of Aldridge Botanical Gardens, a 30 acre woodland garden with a nature trail around a seven acre lake. These gardens feature hydrangeas, including snowflake hydrangea discovered and patented by Eddie Aldridge. Hikers enjoy the Mock Rock Trails, 12 miles of color coded hiking trails. There are interconnected hiking trails, with each trail having a different topography. The variety of trails provide different levels of hiking.
